Emotional Roots of “Dis-ease”

Thursday, February 6, 1 to 2 pm


One of the most often overlooked aspects of healing is the impact of emotions. In fact, emotions that are unresolved or unacknowledged are often at the root of dis-ease. In this class, we learn how emotions impact our health, including our genetics and the genetics of our ancestors and the ways in which to address them.


What is Homeopathy?

This class will include an explanation of homeopathy and constitutional homeopathy. We will learn how homeopathy works on the vital force within the body, remedies for specific health concerns, and what to do about inherited weaknesses. 


Know You, Know Your Body

Thursday, March 26, 1 to 2 pm


Your health starts when you start to know YOU. In this class students will learn the function of each organ and its relationship to surrounding organs’ functions and balances. Energies of each organ will be discussed and how imbalances can affect health. Students will also learn about chemical reactions in the body, such as hormonal secretions and functions.


Environmental Poisons- How to Identify and Antidote them

Thursday, April 9, 1 to 2 pm


Let’s face it, we are living in a sea of toxins. This class covers how to identify certain toxins in the environment and most importantly, how to antidote them. Remedies include homeopathies, herbs and essential oils to remove nerve contaminants (such as mercury) and how to protect the body from vaccines and environmental poisons, as well as support the body in health.


The Art of Advanced Muscle Testing 

Thursday, April 30, 1 to 2 pm


Muscle Response Testing (MRT) is a way of checking the energy flow within the body; and determining what organs are under stress and need nutritional support. Students will learn how muscle testing can be used to determine which Homeopathies, essential oils, amino acids, and other modalities are best for their customized health plan. 


Chakra Balance Through Light Healing Touch

Thursday, May 28, 1 to 2 pm


Students will learn what meridians are and how they affect the body, both physically and emotionally, location of meridians, and the benefits of clearing their blockages. In this class students will learn about the main energy centers located throughout the body (chakras) and how touch can promote healing physically, mentally, and spiritually.


Let food be Your Medicine

Thursday, June 25, 1 to 2 pm


“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” ― Hippocrates. Food is essential in the health and wellness of our body, mind and spirit.  Learn about choosing the healthiest forms of foods and eating them in the proper balance. Sustaining good health lies in eating how nature intended. Learn to read food labels, how to create your own recipes, and gain insight about food co-ops, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), farm markets, health food stores and more.


Field Herbology

Thursday, July 30, 1:00pm


We’re going on a field trip! Join us at the beautiful Lake Village Homestead for this learning opportunity. The entire class will take place outside where students will learn backyard foraging, identification of plants; and folk history about their uses and preparation for home use.


The Making of Herbal Medicine 

Thursday, August 27, 1 to 2 pm


In this class, students will learn to make herbal preparations, including hot and cold infusions, syrups, tinctures, salves, and understand how planting and harvesting according to moon phases increase benefits. An in-depth study of the heating and cooling patterns of herbs explains how these procedures apply to each person’s individual needs.


These workshops are offered at no charge and donations are kindly accepted.

About Erin

Erin is currently pursuing her doctorate in naturopathy at the Naturopathic Institute of Therapy and Education in Mt Pleasant, Michigan.  These workshops fulfill curriculum requirements. Erin Huey received her CYT200 from Yogada Ashram in Rishekesh India in 2017.
